Accessibility Policy

Our Commitment to Accessibility

The American Society for the Preservation of C10s (ASPC10) is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying relevant accessibility standards to ensure our website and digital content are accessible to the widest possible audience.

ASPC10 believes that preservation, education, and community engagement should be accessible to all, regardless of ability.

Accessibility Standards

ASPC10 strives to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, which are widely recognized as the standard for web accessibility and are referenced by the U.S. Department of Justice as guidance for ADA compliance.

These guidelines help make web content more accessible for people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, and neurological disabilities.

Accessibility Features

We are actively working to ensure that our website:

  • Can be navigated using a keyboard without requiring a mouse
  • Uses clear headings and logical page structure for screen readers
  • Provides alternative text for meaningful images
  • Maintains sufficient color contrast between text and backgrounds
  • Includes properly labeled forms and controls
  • Avoids content that may trigger seizures or physical reactions
  • Provides captions or transcripts for multimedia content when available

While we aim to make all pages and content fully accessible, some content may not yet fully meet accessibility standards.

Ongoing Efforts

Accessibility is an ongoing effort at ASPC10. We regularly review our website and content to identify and address accessibility barriers. This includes:

  • Periodic accessibility audits
  • Testing with assistive technologies
  • Training and awareness for content contributors
  • Updating content and features as standards evolve

Feedback and Assistance

We welcome feedback on the accessibility of the ASPC10 website. If you encounter accessibility barriers or need assistance accessing any part of our site, please contact us:

  • Email: americansocietypc10@gmail.com
  • Contact Form: https://aspc10.org/contact

Please include the webpage URL and a brief description of the issue. We will make every reasonable effort to respond promptly and provide accessible alternatives where possible.

Policy Updates

This Accessibility Policy may be updated periodically to reflect improvements, changes in standards, or organizational updates. We encourage users to review this page regularly for the most current information.
